My name is Danielle, but my friends might call me "D".

Hey there, I'm so happy you're here.

My passion in my career stems from capturing human connection. If you were to be in front of my camera, you'd likely hear me squeal with excitement over a simple caress of the cheek, or a little smirk with some eye-to-eye contact.

If we were to meet in person, I'd probably invite you to chat over a cup of coffee at a local shop with funky art hanging on the walls. Or for a beer at the creek, surrounded by the sound of birds chirping, and the sun radiating through the tree tops.

I found myself in love with the idea of "photos that make you feel", or "capturing the moment" long before I aspired to be a photographer. Through my teenage and young adult years I would constantly be printing pictures from my camera roll and hanging them all over my wall. In the moments I needed it most, I would sit and just stare at that wall. At all of the laughs captured of my nephews while they were small and chubby,   and everything was still funny. At the silly moments of my friends that would otherwise be long forgotten, the adventures I'd go on with my East TX family over the years, and my childhood dog before she became grey. These images were the fuel to my career, and it was so comforting to see my memories immortalized by a simple 4x6.

Images that would be on my photo wall:

A few facts about Danielle

I got married in May 2024 to the man of my dreams. We celebrated our marriage a bit untraditionally, and I'd love to share it with you.

We said, "I do" in our PJs on his grandmother's porch. We only had the immediate family that lived in the same town present, and immediately hopped on a plane to California.

We spent two solid days running around with our photographer in our dress and suit, shared our vows privately with Mount Shasta as a witness, were humbled by the size of the Redwoods, and ran along the rocky Oregon coast.

It was magical.

My ideal rainy day would be spent curled up with a book and a mug of hot coffee. A candle would be lit, and my dog would likely be snoring next to me as he steals most of my blanket. Reading is a passion that I'll always make time for. It started with Harry Potter and Twilight in 7th grade like everyone else, and I've been adding to my collection ever since.

If the sun is out and shining, I wouldn't be anywhere but the creek on my grandmother's property. It's my happy place. I'd be sitting in the middle of the dam as the water rushes past my thighs, watching the bass and perch swim idly by, and the same hawk that always flies directly overhead along the water. My husband would likely be with me fishing downstream, and I'd hear whispered curses as his new lure snags on a branch...again.

I discovered my path as a photographer while I was working a gig as a P.A. in Oregon. This was in the middle of my college education to become a director - little did I know it would change my course. The Art Director saw me using my phone camera, laughed, and handed me his professional Nikon when we were exploring Tillamook Forest. I've never been more intimidated in my life, but he showed me all of the bells and whistles, and a Nikon camera body has never left my hands since.

We also stumbled upon the set of the Goonies during this trip, and that's a story I'll never stop telling.
